(Click Event for Details)Welcome to Tamborine Mountain Bridge Club. We offer a range of bridge playing opportunities for all levels of players and regularly participate in local, regional and national competitions. Our club includes about 120 members, most of whom are active players. We host regular competitions on Monday evenings and on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.
The Wednesday session offers a more relaxed environment, perfectly suited to players transitioning from lessons, those who simply enjoy the social environment as well as competition players. We also conduct lessons for new players and those wanting to refresh their skills as well as specialist tutorials for advanced players. Bridge has been an important part of social life on Tamborine Mountain for nearly a century.
The first club, called Hearts and Aces, was active during the 1930s, meeting regularly in North Tamborine. Our club was formed in 1988 and held its first sessions in November of that year. For many years the club utilised a range of venues until, in 2015, we secured a parcel of land at our sports ground for our own purpose-built club house, built almost entirely by our own members. For details about this amazing project, read more on our Photos page. Want to know more about our club? Then Contact us and one of our committee members will be happy to get in touch. Our senior players conduct the classes and most students graduate quickly to the Wednesday afternoon play. There are also occasional lessons for senior players to learn or revise techniques.
